Marketeer vs Cloud9

Cloud9 CMO is an AI marketing department: a CMO persona that routes work to specialist agents, with more agents unlocked on higher tiers and an approval queue on every plan. Marketeer is Kate, an AI CMO, and twelve specialists on every plan, with one week of drafts to approve and a receipt every Friday.

Pick Marketeer if

You want the whole team on the entry plan rather than unlocked tier by tier, a price in pounds, and a weekly receipt that says plainly what was not measured.

Pick Cloud9 if

You want an agent that plans and runs paid campaigns once you sign off, or local search and review replies handled as their own agents. Its pages advertise these and we do not do them today.

Side by side.

Who does the work
Live

Kate, an AI CMO, plus twelve named specialists in four groups: plan and decide, create and approve, launch and learn and always on.

A CMO that routes work to agents for content, local search, ads, creative, operations, social media, strategy and brand analysis. Starter includes the content agent; the full roster is on Scale.

A different shape: their roster grows with the tier, ours is the same on every plan.

How a campaign runs
Live

Eight steps: connect and upload, diagnose, confirm brand and goals, create the campaign, review the exact plan, launch and verify, read the results and choose the next cycle. Before anything goes out you see each draft with the post, word for word, with its picture or media; the channel it goes to; the link it points to; the time it is due to go out, or that no time is set yet.

Each agent owns a discipline and runs it end to end, and everything lands in one queue to approve, edit or let run.

Their queue shows items marked auto-approved. We could not see when that applies, so we do not characterise it.

Business memory
Live

Your voice, offers, approved claims and past campaigns, remembered from week to week. Fill it once and correct it any time.

Its pages describe a brand analyser agent. We did not find a description of how business knowledge carries from one campaign to the next.

Unverified does not mean absent.

Approval before anything goes live
Live

There is no auto-approve: a post nobody approved simply waits. Edit it after approving and it needs a fresh yes. The formal sign-off workflow is on Business, £99 a month.

Advertises that nothing publishes, spends or sends without your sign-off, with an approvals queue on every tier.

Close to level on the promise: both of us put your yes before anything goes out.

Publishing to social accounts
Live

Approved posts publish to your connected social accounts, on Personal (£39 a month). What is switched on is on the connections page.

A social media agent schedules and posts to your social accounts once they are connected; it is on Scale, and every tier caps the posts published each month.

Paid ads
You launch it

Kate writes Google, Meta and LinkedIn campaigns in full. You launch them in your own ad account, so nothing spends until you do.

Advertises an ads agent that plans and runs paid campaigns and watches spend, with sign-off before budget goes live, on Growth and above.

If the page is accurate, Cloud9 executes paid ads and we do not. That is a genuine gap on our side.

Reporting and the receipt
Live

Every Friday a receipt: what ran, what happened and what to do next. A number that was not measured says so.

A performance page listing the work done, such as posts published, reviews answered and campaigns optimised, with an estimate of hours saved.

We have not repeated any of their figures.

Proof you can check
Live

A nightly exam and a Sunday benchmark, computed when you load the proof page, withheld nights included; no case studies until a customer agrees.

We did not find testimonials, reviews or customer logos on the pages we read.

Pricing

£39 a month on Personal, £99 on Business and £299 on Pro, with 500 credits a month on Personal and top-ups at £19 for 500 credits. The trial is 14 days, and a card is taken at checkout. The free 7-day plan needs no card and no account.

Starter 299, Growth 699 and Scale 1,499 US dollars a month, billed monthly. A trial of the brand analyser and strategy agents needs no card.

Their higher tiers add agents and locations; ours add sign-off, brands and governance.

What this comparison does not do.

It does not repeat Cloud9's performance figures, even to dispute them. It does not infer a missing feature from a page we could not find. It does not test either product by hand; it reads public pages on the date above. Prices are as published by each company, in their own currency, with no exchange-rate or like-for-like total-cost claim implied.
